Donor Spotlight: The Moody Endowment

We are just under two months away until the 2021 TCS NYC Marathon, one of the biggest events of the “Achilles Marathon Tour” season.

In 2019, more than 245 Achilles athletes with disabilities participated. Thanks to the generosity, commitment and support of The Moody Endowment, hundreds more will be able to cross the finish line this year and beyond.

The Moody Endowment is a not-for-profit that funds innovative brain injury research and life-changing rehabilitation activities to improve the lives of patients and their families. For the past two years, Moody’s has given Achilles a grant for $100,000 to sponsor our athletes living with a disability in the iconic race across the city’s five boroughs. The grants help cover the cost of travel and race entry fees. They also help make the magic of the marathon accessible to all.

“Running the New York City Marathon with Achilles did change my life. It let me see what I could do. The whole experience gave me hope. What I have seen in my own recovery and healing and that of others, with love and support, there is hope. And from hope, possibility emerges. That possibility is what allows us to live our best possible life.
