Sara “Lizzy” has been involved with Achilles since August 2012. When she began, Sara utilized a reverse walker and participated in 5K events, consistently starting first and finishing last, yet always exhibiting remarkable enthusiasm. Several years later, Sara transitioned to training with a handcycle, where she thrived and completed five marathons. Sara holds a degree in English from Maryville University in St. Louis, MO and is dedicated to empowering individuals to reach their full potential. She is committed to motivating people with disabilities to pursue active lifestyles. Beyond her professional and athletic pursuits, Sara is an avid reader who enjoys spending time with her family and her teddy bear dog, Sprint.
